Commercial operations utilizing pressure leaf filters precoat the filter media (wire cloth, NEVA-CLOGŪ , etc.) with a thin layer of filter aid
to protect the septum from solids to be filtered. The superiority of
fibrous precoat mats vs. a layer of diatoms or granules of perlite has
has many facets.
The various fibres in NAFCO "C" fibrous filter aid are carefully selected
to provide the required purity, softness, and ability to mat into a smooth
felt. The selection, milling and blending of the compounded fibres assure a uniform product that gives consistent performance.
